WHEN?

SAME QUESTION, DIFFERENT ANSWERS

When what?

I started to think about this experience some years ago, is not too popular in Italy so it was just an idea heard from some friends, a wished experience a lot far away from me.

I done my first international study experience after the first year of HighSchool, it was a study holiday organized by EF in the south of England.

120km from London, 60km from Brighton, Hastings. A small but famous city base of famous historical battles. A warm city in front of the ocean where do a perfect trip. But just a trip.

It was fantastic, but just 2 weeks, not too helpful for my English level and not too helpful to create long friendships.

I really love to travel so, during my 3rd year of high school I started to search information about this experience and helped by my dad I found different companies to do it.

After some rejects caused by the fact that I lost 1 year of school, I was finally accepted by STS. I was so late so I had to do all documents very fast to don’t lose the opportunity to start. When I sent my application I was nervous, so nervous and with thousands of questions.

I received my placement the 9th of June and from this moment started the count down. 19th August: the  A lot of things to do, a lot of people to meet, a lot of places to visit before to start.

I’ve done my last day as Italian in holidays with my best friends and then emptying my house with my dad to close forever this old part of my life. It’s really strange to see all your stuffs in boxes stowed in an office, leaving your country with just a couple of luggages. I don’t really know when I will return in Italy but I really know that I will miss my new life here.
